Also, Bocas del Toro borders Costa Rica, and is in the north west area in Panama, with full Caribbean Sea access and frontage. Isla Colon is the only island with a functioning commercial airport. We took an easy, short flight from San Jose, Costa Rica on Nature Air. The islands are full of natural beauty, ranging from coral reefs, white sand beaches to inland mountainous areas.

Here, new students are given a written and oral exam so the school can determine their Spanish language skills. The school's determination of each student's Spanish skills is based on his/her comprehension and conversation skills, rather than on reading and writing skills.

Also, during the introduction/orientation seminar, students will learn about local points of interest in Bocas del Toro and surrounding areas, school services (tourism advice, post office, class schedule, cultural activities, tours, etc.), safety precautions, tips concerning housing and basic information about the cultural acclimation processes while abroad.

The school chooses not to mix ability levels in an attempt to fill groups, but instead, places students in their appropriate group depending only on skill level. This is sure to maximize everyone's study results. This is not a business decision, but an educational one in which the student's needs are paramount. That said, all students are placed in a class according to their Spanish language skills.
